The film moves between hands at work, painting from a lift, a wall consultation and sketches on a tablet. Animated mural options lead into the final views of Gratitude.

From paint detail to planning

The brush close-up shows the texture of the wall and the edge of the paint. Wider shots then show the artists working against the much larger surface. That change in scale is visible throughout the film.

In the coffee-shop scene, the drawing, tablet and discussion share the shot. The sequence shows a part of making a mural that would be absent from a montage of finished walls alone.

The finished wall

The film closes with Gratitude at Winfield Memorial Hall in Lake Country. Birds, a deer, a bear and landscape shapes spread across the mural. The straight-on view shows the artwork; the aerial view places it on the building.
