Open Road nominated for Song of the Year at the Josie Music Awards

Open Road by Kris Anders has two nominations tied directly to the music video at the 2026 Josie Music Awards. James Alton directed, produced and photographed the 2025 release across the Okanagan.

Song of the Year.

The official 2026 nominees list names Kris Anders' Open Road in Song of the Year — Country Male (Division C). The Josie Music Awards says this year's nominees were selected from more than 101,000 submissions.

The list also nominates Giuliana Carbone in Best Actress in a Music Video for her performance in Open Road.

The finished video moves from Kris performing beside a pickup in a forest clearing to a red convertible, horses and a full bar performance.

James directed, produced and photographed the music video, with Kelowna Film Studios as the production company. The Open Road project page includes the principal credits and more finished frames.
