Cleopatra's Rituals

Producer · Director · Director of Photography

Blue-lit snow room inside Cleopatra's Rituals in Kelowna.

The film

A grand-opening video and photo package for Cleopatra's Rituals, a Kelowna thermal spa built around ancient bathing traditions, thermal wellness, scalp spa services and a falling snow room.

The approach

James produced, directed and photographed the launch material, bringing actors into the spa and shaping lighting, camera movement and room-by-room coverage so the business could show the ritual experience as sensory and real rather than only listing amenities.

Commercial launch

A local spa opening made visual.

The assignment needed the business to feel like an experience before most guests had stepped inside.

The production moved through the thermal area, bath and treatment rooms, scalp spa and exterior launch context, balancing clean service detail with staged guest moments.

For JAF, the useful proof is James's authorship over the visual approach: actors, camera, lighting and pace shaped around a wellness brand that needed to feel distinctive without becoming generic spa content.

Direction

Actors inside the ritual.

Staged guest movement helped the viewer understand how the rooms are used without turning the piece into a walkthrough.

Camera

Small rooms, clear frames.

The camera plan had to work inside tight service spaces while still making the snow room, bath and scalp-spa areas feel intentional.

Launch

A business opening made visible.

The video and photos gave the grand opening polished public material that could support web, social and press attention.
